I REVIEW 'THE PRINCESS BRIDE (1987)'

MY FAVOURITE ROMANCE MOVIE OF ALL TIME.

Hello, everyone! This week I am posting my Valentine's Day special, a review of my favourite romance movie of all time, 'The Princess Bride'. Throughout the review, I try to explain why it is my favourite, and why I think it should be considered a standard for Valentine's Day!

I REVIEW 'FRANKENWEENIE'

Why I Prefer ‘Frankenweenie (2012)’ to ‘Frankenweenie (1984)’

For this week's video, I am discussing the short film 'Frankenweenie (1984)' and why I think its 2012 feature-length remake does a better job at telling the story. Enjoy!

I REVIEW 'COOL AS ICE (1991)'

Vanilla Ice was in a movie – AND IT WAS BAD?!

Hello everyone, in today's video, I review the film 'Cool As Ice (1991)' starring Vanilla Ice. That's right, Vanilla Ice starred in a romcom musical where he is a rapper. It's the 90s in a movie. It's exactly what one would expect from such a description. For this video, I also play the game SuperTux 2 in the background instead of there being a speed-paint, as the game is set in an ice-y setting.

I REVIEW 'LLAMAGEDDON (2015)'

Well, at least “killer alien llamas” was an original idea.

For this week's review, I'm discussing the film 'Llamageddon (2015)'. As you can probably tell from the title, the film centres around a llama - an alien KILLER llama - that terrorises a group of partying youths. This is definitely one of the better and more self-aware 'no-budget' trashy comedy horror movies, but it's also definitely not my favourite. Hope you enjoy the review!

I REVIEW 'DOCTOR WHO (1996)'

IN DEFENSE OF 'DOCTOR WHO (1996)'

For this week's review, I revisited a franchise which was very near and dear to me as a child - 'Doctor Who'. In my video, I comment on the film's flaws and merits and whether such criticism/disappointment from a lot of Whovians is warranted.

I REVIEW 'THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (1989)'

WHY IS FREDDY KRUEGER IN 'THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (1989)'?

Hi guys, I'm back to review more media in 2023. In this week's video, I review the 1989 adaptation of the 1910 book, 'The Phantom of the Opera' by Gaston Leroux. The movie is highly flawed as it was an attempt at "updating" the story (for the time) into an 80s-style slasher film, including having 'Elm Street's' Robert Englund in the titular role. The movie suffers as it focuses way too much on these aspects of the film, but it does have some merits like good effects and nice music. I hoe my commentary can accurately convey my reasoning for why I think this.

I REVIEW 'THE GINGERDEAD MAN (2005)'

I GOT FOOD POISONING FROM WATCHING ‘THE GINGERDEAD MAN (2005)’ | Soapy’s 2022 Xmas

Hey everyone, I have returned from my hiatus. In this week's video I reviewed the film, 'The Gingerdead Man', and it was definitely an "experience". The film centres around a bakery ran by a family, the father and son of which are killed by a later executed murderer named Findlemeyer (Gary Busey) and the bakery is left to the mother and daughter. One of the baked goods, a gingerbread man is possessed by Findlemeyer and goes on a murder spree. This film is basically a bad festively themed rip-off of the 'Child's Play' franchise, but I hope my commentary can make it more bearable.

I REVIEW 'THE NEVERENDING STORY (1984)'

I UNLOCKED MY CHILDHOOD TRAUMA BY WATCHING ‘THE NEVERENDING STORY (1984)’

This week I have decided to review 'The Neverending Story' as I thoroughly enjoy talking about childhood favourites of mine from the 80s. The scene with Artax in the Swamp of Sadness really upset me when I watched it as a child, but I'm so glad I revisited this and it's really catchy theme song.

I REVIEW NEIL BREEN'S 'TWISTED PAIR (2018)'

WATCHING ‘TWISTED PAIR (2018)’ MADE ME QUESTION MY REALITY

Last year, I reviewed the film, 'I Am Here... Now' by Neil Breen. I've seen a lot of bad movies, but this one is really up there. The effects are unbelievably bad, plot is incoherent due to the atrocious editing and let's just say I've seen better acting from cardboard cutouts. For this week's review, I decided to sit through another one of Neil Breen's films, this one being 'Twisted Pair (2018)'. Breen tries to be more "creative" with his film-making, now editing himself into his much-loved stock footage and playing TWO protagonists instead of one. Those are the only good things that I can say about this movie. I'm not super chuffed with the results of my speed-paint for this video, so I probably won't post it here, but it is available to view on my Twitter page.

I Review 'Highlander (1986)'

I BECAME IMMORTAL TWICE OVER THROUGH WATCHING ‘HIGHLANDER (1986)’

For this week's video, I am reviewing the film 'Highlander' from 1986. I know that I have kind of built a reputation for myself for reviewing trashy media (which I do love reviewing), but I really enjoyed this film and I think that it is genuinely a great one. I watched it a few times as a kid and then re-watched it for the first time in years and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. I hope you all enjoy my review!
