I REVIEW 'THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (1989)'
WHY IS FREDDY KRUEGER IN 'THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (1989)'?
Hi guys, I'm back to review more media in 2023. In this week's video, I review the 1989 adaptation of the 1910 book, 'The Phantom of the Opera' by Gaston Leroux. The movie is highly flawed as it was an attempt at "updating" the story (for the time) into an 80s-style slasher film, including having 'Elm Street's' Robert Englund in the titular role. The movie suffers as it focuses way too much on these aspects of the film, but it does have some merits like good effects and nice music. I hoe my commentary can accurately convey my reasoning for why I think this.
