I REVIEW 'VAMPIRES' (1998)

John Carpenter’s ‘VAMPIRES’ (1998) – Forgettable or Best Vampire-Western Ever? | Review

Hello everyone! In this video, I’m discussing the one vampire movie that I was not super familiar with before making a video on it – John Carpenter’s 1998 horror film, ‘Vampires’! The film centres around James Woods as a vampire slayer, who is trying to stop an ancient relic from falling into the wrong hands… I am a fan of some of Carpenter’s other work, so I had good expectations returning to this film… but was I disappointed?

I REVIEW 'THE CAT IN THE HAT' (2003)

‘THE CAT IN THE HAT (2003)’ – A Freakish Fever Dream Disguised as a “Family Film”.

Hello everyone! Here, I review the 2003 live-action adaptation of ‘The Cat in the Hat’. The film naturally centres around a pair of siblings who are visited by a strange anthropomorphic feline when they happen to be bored while (essentially) home alone. Featuring lots of early 2000s CGI, over-the-top acting, bizarre visuals, and numerous nonsensical pop-culture referencing gags, it certainly makes for a memorable watch!

I REVIEW 'ALL YOU NEED IS CASH (1978)'

‘ALL YOU NEED IS CASH (1978)’ – Better Than The Beatles? (CLICKBAIT)

Hello everyone! In tHIS video, I discuss Eric Idle and Neil Innes’ Beatles pastiche and parody band, the Rutles, along with its 1978 mockumentary film, ‘All You Need Is Cash’ about the bands formation, shenanigans while popular, and eventual split. Does the tribute/satire live up to their subject of parody? Are the Rutles BETTER than the Beatles? Let's discuss!

I REVIEW 'BRAINDEAD/DEAD ALIVE (1992)'

‘BRAINDEAD/DEAD ALIVE (1992)’ – Peter Jackson’s Zombie Horror-Comedy Splatterfest

Hello everyone! In this video, I review Peter Jackson’s 1992 horror-comedy splatter film ‘Braindead’ (titled ‘Dead Alive’ in North America). The film is about a young man named Lionel living in 1950s Wellington with his mother who must defend his town and loved ones when a zombie outbreak caused by a “rat-monkey” begins in his very home! Hope you guys like the review!

I REVIEW 'THIS IS SPINAL TAP (1984)

‘THIS IS SPINAL TAP (1984)’ – The GREATEST (Fictional) Heavy Metal Band of All Time?

Hello, everyone! I reviewed the 1984 mockumentary film ‘This is Spinal Tap’, which centres around the fictional heavy metal band ‘Spinal Tap’, apparently known as “one of England’s loudest bands”. I thought that this film was really funny and I liked how the improvised comedy still worked well, as well as the music actually being decent, at least. Do I wish they were “real”, though?

I REVIEW 'FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S (2023)'

‘FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S (2023)’ – Is It Worth the 8 Year Long Wait?

Hello everyone! In my latest video, I’m reviewing the much-awaited ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ (or ‘FNAF’) movie! It centres around a security guard called Mike who ends up working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza after being fired from his job as a mall security guard. But, he also has to compete with his aunt for custody of his sister, all while the animatronics in the abandoned restaurant are behaving strangely. Is it scary? How accurate is it to the games? Is it entertaining regardless? Let’s find out!

I REVIEW 'GENESIS OF THE DALEKS'

‘GENESIS OF THE DALEKS’ | Doctor Who’s Best?

Hey, guys! This is my first video of 2024! In it, I discuss one of the most popular ‘Doctor Who’ serials of all time, ‘Genesis of the Daleks’! The Doctor and his companions are tasked by the Time Lords with intercepting the creation of the Doctor's greatest foe, the Daleks, during a war on their home planet. Due to the setting, the protagonists get caught in middle of it, resulting in many issues with the mission. Do they finish what they were set out to do and is it worthy of being one of the most well-known pieces of ‘Doctor Who’ lore? I discuss all of this in my review!

I REVIEW 'THE MEAN ONE (2023)'

'THE MEAN ONE (2022)’ | Campy Horror Fun or Cringe-Inducing?

Hello everyone! In this week's video, I’m reviewing the 2022 horror film ‘The Mean One’. The film parodies the 2000 adaptation of ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas!’ starring Jim Carey, but in a slasher format. It stars David Howard Thornton of 'Terrifier' fame in the lead role, and centers around a town that is trying to deal with his Christmas slashings every year, which started with an accident one Christmas Eve. But is it campy fun or cringe-inducing? Let's find out! Merry Christmas, all!

I REVIEW 'RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER AND THE ISLAND OF MISFIT TOYS'

Who Else Remembers 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Island of Misfit Toys (2001)'?

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all having a great winter in the weeks coming up to Christmas, and in today’s video, I’m reviewing the film, 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Island of Misfit Toys (2001). This is a film from my early childhood, and is a sequel to the 1964 Rankin/Bass special 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer'. This film definitely tried to "upgrade" from the original, utilising the same characters and plot points, but being fully CGI instead of stop-motion animation. I watched it many times growing up, but I wonder if this movie is as enjoyable as I remember?

I REVIEW 'BEAUTIFUL DISASTER (2023)'

‘BEAUTIFUL DISASTER (2023)’ – What is HAPPENING to Romance Movies?!

Hello everyone! In this week's video, I review a bit of a movie named ‘Beautiful Disaster’, which is definitely doing a little trolling. It was based on a YA novel by Jamie McGuire, which was apparently written in seriousness. It centres around a couple called Abby (a gambling prodigy) and Travis (an underground boxer). iI follows the same story beats as your typical YA romance plots, but it surprised me in the way that it didn't take itself super seriously. Enjoy!
