I REVIEW 'SPACE CHIMPS' (2008)

‘SPACE CHIMPS’ (2008) – Mediocre, Forgettable or Forgettably Mediocre? | Review

Hello, everyone! In this week's video, I’m going to be discussing another relatively obscure animated film from the 2000s, ‘Space Chimps’! It centres around a group of simian astronauts that are launched into space to recover a lost satellite, but end up being transported to an alien planet through a worm-hole. The group have to find their way back home and rescue the satellite, all while evading a tyrannical alien who is using said satellite for dictatorial purposes. Can they find their way back home?

I REVIEW 'PINOCCHIO'S REVENGE' (1996)

‘PINOCCHIO’S REVENGE’ (1996) – Psychological Puppet Horror or Franchise Knock-Off? | Review

Hey, everyone! In my latest film review, I'm exploring the world of 90s horror again by bringing my thoughts on the seemingly little-known 1996 B-movie, 'Pinocchio's Revenge'. The film centres around a Public Defence lawyer, Jennifer, who brings a Pinocchio puppet home to her anxious daughter, Zoe. Mysterious violent incidents begin to occur around the girl and her doll, but Zoe insists that Pinocchio is responsible.

This premise may sound very familiar, but would you be right in assuming that 'Pinocchio's Revenge' is just another cash-grab riding on the 'Chucky' franchise's coattails? That's what the minimal marketing might suggest, but I wanted to know more! If you thought that putting a spooky horror spin on a beloved childhood character (that just happens to be public domain) was a revolutionary idea, think again! I hope you all enjoy the review!

I REVIEW 'BATTLEFIELD EARTH' (2000)

‘BATTLEFIELD EARTH’ (2000) – The Critical and Commercial Failure of a “Sci-Fi Epic” | Review

Hello, everyone! Hello, everyone! I've finally got around to reviewing 'Battlefield Earth' (2000), a film that's been long overdue on my to-review list for a while. The film is attempting (and arguably, failing) to be a sci-fi epic, set on a dystopian Earth in the Year 3000, where humans are enslaved a giant, humanoid race known as ‘Psychlos’.Despite their intimidating physical presence, the Psychlos prove to be rather incompetent as the film progresses. In fact, 'Battlefield Earth' won the Razzie award for the 'Worst Movie of the Decade' in 2010! But is it really that bad? Let's discuss!

I REVIEW 'THE ADVENTURES OF TOM THUMB AND THUMBELINA' (2002)

‘THE ADVENTURES OF TOM THUMB & THUMBELINA’ (2002) – Interesting or Irrelevant?

In this video, I review an animated film from my childhood, ‘The Adventures of Tom Thumb & Thumbelina’ (2002)! The film centres around Thumbelina, who escapes from a circus and meets Tom Thumb. They search for their home as Thumbelina tries to avoid marrying the tyrannical Mole King. The two heroes meet make many friends along the way, but will they complete their mission?

I REVIEW 'CADE: THE TORTURED CROSSING' (2023)

‘CADE: THE TORTURED CROSSING’ (2023) – Neil Breen’s *NEW* Movie (Has This Gone Too Far?)

Hello, everyone! It’s time… to finally review ‘Cade: The Tortured Crossing’ (2023) – Neil Breen’s latest mess-terpiece! 'Cade' is a sequel to his previous film, ‘Twisted Pair (2018)’ – estranged twins Cade and Cale continue their elaborate tale of sci-fi/fantasy (?) – but has Breen gone too far down the “so bad it’s good”/”cult film” rabbit hole? I try to explore what makes this movie entertaining and where it missed the mark... and try to figure out why it was nominated for an indie movie award, as well!

I REVIEW 'EMO: THE MUSICAL' (2016)

‘EMO: THE MUSICAL’ (2016) – I Can’t Believe This Exists Either | Review

Hey again, guys! In this video, I review 'Emo: The Musical'! It's a satirical teen musical film about an emo called Ethan who is trying to fit in at school while staying true to himself. As soon I remembered that this film existed, I just knew that I had to make a review about it! It's full of edgy mid-2010s humour and "memorable" songs. It is truly something to behold, and is really a product of its time to say the least.

I REVIEW 'VAMPIRES' (1998)

John Carpenter’s ‘VAMPIRES’ (1998) – Forgettable or Best Vampire-Western Ever? | Review

Hello everyone! In this video, I’m discussing the one vampire movie that I was not super familiar with before making a video on it – John Carpenter’s 1998 horror film, ‘Vampires’! The film centres around James Woods as a vampire slayer, who is trying to stop an ancient relic from falling into the wrong hands… I am a fan of some of Carpenter’s other work, so I had good expectations returning to this film… but was I disappointed?

I REVIEW 'THE CAT IN THE HAT' (2003)

‘THE CAT IN THE HAT (2003)’ – A Freakish Fever Dream Disguised as a “Family Film”.

Hello everyone! Here, I review the 2003 live-action adaptation of ‘The Cat in the Hat’. The film naturally centres around a pair of siblings who are visited by a strange anthropomorphic feline when they happen to be bored while (essentially) home alone. Featuring lots of early 2000s CGI, over-the-top acting, bizarre visuals, and numerous nonsensical pop-culture referencing gags, it certainly makes for a memorable watch!

I REVIEW 'ALL YOU NEED IS CASH (1978)'

‘ALL YOU NEED IS CASH (1978)’ – Better Than The Beatles? (CLICKBAIT)

Hello everyone! In tHIS video, I discuss Eric Idle and Neil Innes’ Beatles pastiche and parody band, the Rutles, along with its 1978 mockumentary film, ‘All You Need Is Cash’ about the bands formation, shenanigans while popular, and eventual split. Does the tribute/satire live up to their subject of parody? Are the Rutles BETTER than the Beatles? Let's discuss!

I REVIEW 'BRAINDEAD/DEAD ALIVE (1992)'

‘BRAINDEAD/DEAD ALIVE (1992)’ – Peter Jackson’s Zombie Horror-Comedy Splatterfest

Hello everyone! In this video, I review Peter Jackson’s 1992 horror-comedy splatter film ‘Braindead’ (titled ‘Dead Alive’ in North America). The film is about a young man named Lionel living in 1950s Wellington with his mother who must defend his town and loved ones when a zombie outbreak caused by a “rat-monkey” begins in his very home! Hope you guys like the review!
